Played by Nicolas Cage, Balthazar is a good magician who has long held captive the forces of darkness. However, with the help of a young apprentice, he must now face his greatest challenge yet.
Nicolas Cage Returns as Balthazar Blake
Nicolas Cage reprises his role as Balthazar Blake in the upcoming film "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." The film follows Balthazar as he teams up with Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel) to battle the evil sorcerer Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). The film is directed by Jon Turteltaub and is set to release in July 2010.
