Ireland win thrilling contest by DLS method

After a rain-affected match, Ireland has emerged victorious against England in the 20th match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022.
Chasing a revised target of 157 runs in 14.3 overs, Ireland reached 158 for 4 with one ball to spare. Opener Paul Stirling led the charge with a quickfire 40 off 18 deliveries, including five boundaries and two sixes.
In response, England's batters struggled to keep up with the required run rate. Jos Buttler and Alex Hales were dismissed cheaply, while Ben Stokes and Liam Livingstone made valuable contributions but couldn't guide their team to victory.
Ireland's bowlers were disciplined and consistent, with Mark Adair and Josh Little claiming two wickets each. Adair was named Player of the Match for his outstanding figures of 2/16 in three overs.
This victory is a significant boost for Ireland's hopes of qualifying for the Super 12 stage of the tournament. They will now face Afghanistan in their final group match on Friday, October 28.
